Langhorne Creek Day Tour
Depart Adelaide from your city hotel and travel into the Adelaide Hills through the south eastern suburbs. Enjoy the views of Adelaide as we climb the old road towards Crafers.
Cut through the quaint villages of Stirling and Aldgate and travel down the eastern escapement of the Mount Lofty Ranges following the old scenic highway of yesteryear to drop down into the charming township of Strathalbyn.
Enjoy the heritage listed buildings of Strathalbyn as we travel the short distance out of town, past the wheat fields and olives to arrive in the Langhorne Creek wine region.
During your time in the region, enjoy visiting no less than 4 cellar doors and enjoy lunch, platter style showcasing the locally grown produce from the fleurieu.
Wineries that we may visit are Bremerton, Bleasdale, Kimbolton, Lake Breeze, Rusticana and Vineyard Road, home to Fabal wines, the Fleurieu Chocolate Company and Vasse Virgin.
Rich in history, Langhorne Creek will impress with it's premium and, easy drinking wines for all occasions. Many wines from the region have received great accolades and awards over the years and continue to do so...... including the 2019 Jimmy Watson Trophy winner!!
After a day of tasting at the creek, enjoy a picturesque journey back into the Adelaide Hills and back into Adelaide through the higher reaches of the Mount Lofty Ranges travelling through the townships of Wistow and Mount Barker.
Arrive back in Adelaide at approximately 5.15 pm.
